What is Plex? Plex is free and powerful media software that lets you be your own Netflix or Spotify. It organizes your personal collection of movies, TV shows, music, and photos and streams them to all your devices including your Smart TV, iPhone, Android, PC, Mac, iPad, web browser, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV/Stick/Cube, and more.
This session is designed to walk you through the entire process, including how to:

Install the free Plex software on your computer.

Set up your own reliable and stable Plex server.

Load multiple Plex client apps on your phone or tablet

Showcase your photos, home videos, and music with impressive results ON YOUR PHONE

Share your media with family and friends.
This class is for medium or advanced users, and while you are welcome to attend without a computer, it is highly recommended that you bring your Windows or Mac laptop to build your own server during the class. Ideally, load some photos, music and/or video files on your computer before you come.
A brief demonstration will also be shown to highlight how a Plex server can be run on an energy-efficient device like a Raspberry Pi.
